Anywhere good to stop on the way back on LA-1 before getting back into Pointe Coupee? Not looking for anything too fancy, just good food.

Fresh Catch in Marksville is really good, & of course, there is always the casino buffet @ Paragon…

Hit 190, grab hot boudin and cracklings on a few stops as you make your way back. Profit.

There isn’t much on the “old way” if you go down 71. There is nothing if you go down 49 (unless you want to eat in Lafayette).

Lea’s lunchroom in LeCompte is ok - their pies are fantastic though. They close early like 3 or 4 pm.

Stelly’s in Lebeau used to be good, but I haven’t been in years.

Really it’s less than a 2 hour drive. I would probably just wait until you get back to BR.

Broken Wheel (fresh catch) and Habibi’s in Marksville.

Family Grille in Simmesport was legit back in the day.
