I'm glad I'm not the only one on this board to measure distance in mixed drinks.

Rendezvous is 1 - 6oz rye Old Fashioned walk from my door.

boneless skinless fried chicken since no one else is mentioning it.

Also, spice is achieved through crytstal hot sauce bread crumbs.

I went Saturday for a soft opening..I had a taste of a few things. The fried chicken sandwich was pretty good (mirliton pickled pickles A+)..The heirloom tomato soup was a bit spicy but I liked it. The pork debris biscuit was solid..Selfish jerk who I shared the biscuit didn't give me any egg. But the BBQ'd Black Angus beef rib was excellent..Mild smoke, black pepper the best out of all...it should be at 29.00..but it is big enough for two as long as you get a few other small things. No alcohol (lunch time) Considering what that place looked like before it is a palace now. I like the atmosphere.

And they did that renovation fairly quickly. I moved in down the street at the beginning of July and it was only permitting at the time. Hell, it still looked like a shithole from the outside a month ago.

The wife and I walked there Tuesday afternoon with the dog. We sat outside and had to order everything "togo" including drinks because they were not letting servers take outside tables. I enjoyed the Whisky Smash and my wife got the frozen gin cocktail that was okay. The peminto cheese dish was excellent but they should have given more bread. We split an order of the fried chicken (pleny of food for two people); i thought it was really tasty, I like how they marinated it in crawfish boil. The wife thought it was to spicy though. I was kind of disappointed that it was fried chicken filets and not like regular fried chicken with bones. I was hoping they would have a potato salad since it's suppose to be a picnic style dinner.

I'll go back, I wish they would add more picnic style sides and a few more dinner options though.

also, Chef Tory and the GM were outside on their laptops, he did not seem to pleased that we had our puppy with us. Everyone who walked by blocked the sidewalk by our table playing with the dog. Chef gave zeros shits about the pup, lol.

I've been in that neighborhood for 2 years now on Henry Clay and it's def an upgrade from the noodle place that was there before. We are very fortunate to have great eats, bars, grocery shopping and they park walking distance from us.

You are 1 block over from me. I'm at Webster and Mag. The whole reason I picked this area of town was so when I get home on Friday afternoons I can park my truck at the house and don't move it again until Monday (unless I'm going to BR for a game). I love being able to walk/bike anywhere I need to go. I figured if I am only going to be in New Orleans for 12-18 months, I might as well enjoy it.

Could also be because of the to-go order. They weren't doing to-go later on (6:40pm) Tuesday night and there was a discussion in the kitchen Wednesday night about a to-go order that was being made.

Seemed to be a kitchen capacity issue.
