Money issues though... I don’t buy that.

It’s not like I’m their accountant but just heard that from a close friend that used to manage/bar tend there. I mean they were approached to buy the bar and are completely changing the concept, is it that hard to believe that money isn’t an issue?

I’ve never been in that one but the original was the best pool hall in town for many years. Wish it was still around. Next door was The Kingfish and I used to go watch The Jeff Pollard Band there. They became Louisiana Leroux.

This is a great thing for everybody. Jordan is gonna do a great job fixing Earl’s up and making it not a shithole

Absolutely this, along with terrible maintenance in the whole bar. The bathrooms were disgusting, there are leaks (I felt drops of water when I was standing at the bar), and reconfigure the1 inside of the bar if you are going to have bands play there.

Olive or twist
Happys
I like driftwood

And the old owners definitely had money issues.

can not understand why the previous owners thought it would be a good idea to build a giant fence enclosing that patio.

One of my favorite theories was so you couldn’t drive by and see that nobody was there

I love the idea but Phil’s is pretty terrible as far as food goes. The chargrilled oysters are decent but everything else I’ve had is pretty bad.

Hopefully this is a bar focusing on good drinks, not food

I like Phil’s. It’s where I choose when I want fried seafood because they offer their lunch size at dinner too, so you can get an oyster plate with fries and slaw and hush puppies for $9.95

I thought it may have been some kind of neighborhood ordinance that made them put a fence around the patio like they did. couldn't think of any other reason.

Not sure what this has to do with Earls but the meatball quesadilla at Phil’s is fantastic
