Any recipes or advice on doing beef jerky on the pellet grill besides the traeger app? Best type of beef? Smoke time? Marinades? Thanks in advance.

You don’t have to get expensive meat for jerky. I usually buy whatever is on sale.
5-6 hours at 150 will get you tons of smoke flavor.
Don’t skimp on the cayenne pepper.
For your first time, make 3-4 different types with different seasonings to see what you like. You can’t really mess it up.

Jerky marinade
1 cup allegro
1/2 cup lite soy
1/4 cup minced garlic
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/8 cup honey
1 TBS chili powder
1 TBS cayenne
1/2 TBS ginger
This is a marinade that I’ve come up with over time. I usually use eye of round, but whatever is on sale will work. The lowest my pellet grill will go is 180. About 5 hours will get it done at that temp.

Most Walmart’s have thin sliced bottom round in the meat section. I marinate with allegro, red pepper flakes, and McCormick garlic chipotle. At least 24 hours. Always goes fast.

I've done it before and it's delicious. The smoke took longer than i expected.
