Why the hell is it so expensive this year?
I don't remember payin g $50 for 3 gallons last year.

go to popeyes and buy their used peanut oil. if you are frying a turkey, it isn't that bad. they drain their oil often.

because they know people will be using it around the holiday's to fry turkeys.

I just bought a charbroil big easy infared turkey fryer. it does not use any oil. i will cook one tomorrow and report the results.

Prices on commodities went up BIG TIME a few months ago. Oil, flour, rice, everything. It was all over the news. Funny thing is.... once the stuff goes up in price, it never seems to come down.

ive had turkey from one of those, wasn't bad....but it is just an outdoor propane roaster...nothing is being fried

yeah, I know, mama and the doc are trying to slim me up. with a good marinade, should be okay.
