There was a controversy in the 1970s about schools named after white teachers or principals who had died. So, to compromise they started renaming schools after the streets they were on. But the streets were named after white people who had died.
I have no idea what's going on in NI these days. I went back to see my old house after 20 years and got lost in my own neighborhood. You can't go home again.

I remember that Popeye's buffet. You are right, the average lunchtime customer there was a blue collar plant worker who could put down 5,000 calories without a second thought. If you stopped by after about 12:15 the buffet looked like a used pig trough.
