Nate, his post didn't deserve a response. Some folks think they're funny, but they're not.

I know that but it gets old. I guess that's the kind of crap they come up with when they can't think of something positive or they are just jealous.

I think it's an awesome reward for your work. It was obviously appreciated. Enjoy the cooking gear!

Not a problem! I'll even say a prayer for her that she remains cancer free.

Off topic, but what do you season your grilled shrimp with?

You can use whatever low salt or salt free seasoning/rub you like but I wanted spicy for these so I used Oakridge BBQ's Habanero Death Dust LINK for these. I did add a lil salt and foe 8 oz of the rub I added 2 oz. of smoked paprika. This kind of sweetened it a bit and mellowed out the heat.
Using the grilling steel I squirted a little olive oil on the steel, gave it about 20 seconds to get hot and dropped the seasoned shrimp onto the steel which was griddling hot(can't tell you exact temp). You don't want to leave the shrimp too long. Flip 'em and they're done when pink and getting a little char on them. Got so many compliments on these!

I have but I've used so many rubs over time I can't remember them all. Oakridge makes some great stuff. I think I'm going to order their sample packs to try again.
