bump.

I always vacation in Destin or Orange Beach, but this year I'm going to PCB for the first time since I was a kid.

Any other suggestions? Would love a good place just to grab a good grouper sandwich or fried skrimps, and another more upscale joint.

do yourself a favor and go to George's in Alys Beach (on 30-A just west of PCB; next to Rosemary). they've got the best grouper sandwich in the universe

Capt Anderson's is by far the most popular tourist place in PC Beach. You need to go just to say you did.

Sharky's is another place to go that is on the tourist map. They have an outdoor bar/patio that looks over the beach.

Go to Pier Park while you are there. They have a Magaritaville and the Backporch. The Backporch is a local place with locations in Destin and PC Beach (get the oysters).

If you like shrimp and are looking for a meal at home, I recommend Buddy's Seafood. It's a wholesale seafood place, but they also will steam shrimp, potatoes, and corn for you to take home (kinda like a crawfish boil).

The best beer selection on tap is Shades down at Alys Beach. Don't know anything about the food, but go there to drink.

My wife has been going to PC Beach since she was a kid. We go every year for at least three weeks.

Firefly is excellent and I highly recommend it. Its a bit upscale, though we went casually dressed (shorts).
One of the best meals I've had in quite some time.
