Our neighborhood has been sponsoring a restaurant per day

Our HOA has found restaurants that are willing to deliver to our neighborhood.
Everyone calls in their orders for the evening before noon and they park at a specific location and we drive through and pick up our food.
We have a pretty big neighborhood (450'ish houses) but it seems like others could do this as well.
We have had Anthony's Italian deli, BRQ, Randazzos, Capitol City Grill so far. Walk Ons is doing crawfish tonight with a limited menu.
I thought it was a pretty cool idea to give them some additional business.

That’s a great idea.
Our church/school is on a pretty busy intersection and has been letting a rotation of two restaurants a day to come sell food.
They even allowed NATCO to come out last weekend.

I thought so too. It turns out that Nextdoor does have some use. They've been getting 60+ orders per day out of this.

Our country club has been doing drive through lunch and dinner with a full bar (if you’re on a cart) for about a week now. Normal menu items plus family style casseroles and sides. It’s been great so far

there is not a square inch of free space in my fridge or freezer at the moment. I might have to start cooking for the neighborhood

My wife has been calling it her "corona cooking". We've been trying to support some local restaurants as well. I'm going to have to start running at lunch

Good idea. Now is the time for us to return to communities taking care of each other
