I used to eat Texas BBQ quite often when I traveled to Texas weekly.

Now that I don't, I want some. Sure it won't be the same as ordering in person, but ...

Pecan Lodge (Dallas)
Lockhart's (Dallas)
Black's (Lockhart and Austin)
Smitty's (Lockhart)
Salt Lick (Driftwood and Austin)
J Mueller's (Austin, but I think they are closed now?)

These places were in my travel rotation, but I am not certain of their abilities to ship product via dry ice (only one I know for sure is Salt Lick).

What would you order? And from where?

Which place did I leave out (only because I have not eaten there) that does great BBQ and has the ability to ship?

It may be worth it.

Lockhart's IMO had the best BBQ chicken I have eaten.
