What do you guys do for heat out there? Just get a patio heater

Haven't needed one yet, and they still haven't stained the boards and beams, so holding off on adding anything else at the moment. It would just be more to move out of the way when they come back, which is hopefully next week. But some of our friends have the one from Home Depot and say they love it.

Not sure if we will go for a stainless one like that or get something that looks different. I do like that the heat is at the top, since I have a toddler and a wild 7 year old. And it has little tabs at the bottom if I end up wanting to put a screw in it to hold it in place and keep it from tipping over.

I've seen that one in my searches, but it looks like they are all sold-out. I think because of COVID, a lot of restaurants are purchasing them for outdoor seating. I checked on Wayfair (sold out), Home Depot (sold out), Lowe's (sold out) and Costco (sold out).

You mentioned 12x14 and furniture. This is the set in roughly a 12x12 space. Only reason I know is my wife is looking into rugs and wanted to know if an 11x9 would fit there.

We have our dining room table in the other part for now. It may stay there permanently.

Thanks for sending over the photos, gives me a real good idea on spacing. That furniture you purchased from walmart is sold out as well! Apparently there is a run on furniture and heaters.

Yeah, my wife just happened to find it in stock. She also scored a trampoline for us a month or two back. Couldn't find those at the beginning of Corona.

Use these baws

It's amazing how much more time gets spent outside when you can shift more cooking out there. It's getting to the point I spend more time at my outdoor kitchen than inside.

Have fun.

We're opting for a retractable screen for out patio, similar to this. LINK

You and your wife like to jump on trampolines? Kinda weird, but I can get down with that.

I mean, I still do. She’s not into it. Which is a shame because I love girls jumping on trampolines. We have three kids though and this plus the playground keeps them out in the yard and active.

Time will certainly tell, it’s definitely not cheaper, but it does have a very good warranty, and where we saw them it was a lot more stout than I imagined. The added flexibility was something we thought was worth it.

Originally they only had a drop screen, which didn’t allow us to walk in or out.

This patio is going to face east, so in the mornings it could be pretty warm but afternoons it will be shady. I think I have room for maybe 2 max ceiling fans. I may be able to do some of the smaller corner fans (like this)

Do you have a non-Pinterest link/pic? I hate that shite.
