NYE we have a big gathering at my house and every couple brings something. I’m making a big pot of chili and cornbread.
NYD is always traditional, black eyed peas, cabbage, and either a good pork roast or a deer roast.

This year I'm doing a Pork Tenderloin with a Honey- Grainy Mustard glaze
Pan fried cabbage (olive oil, fresh garlic, salt, pepper, squeeze of lemon to finish)
and the blackened eyes
Childhood tradition, different from mom's pork chops boiled black eyed peas and smothered cabbage but the idea is the same

Almost every recipe I see for stuffed cabbage rolls has the meat filling uncooked.
Wouldn't this make a big greasy mess in the rolls?
