Everything. I will listen to 98.1 or country in the car and my pandora stations that I frequent are john mayer, counting crows, eagles, and tom petty. I did go to college on a music scholarship for double bass though. I played in the big band, jazz combo, steel drum band, and orchestra at UL. I also used to play standards around town for parties and at bars with a couple guys for a few years in laffy. What are you into?

Oh yeah, Tab is my boy man. I have seen him around BR quite a few times.

i'm not saying BR is some mecca for music, but it really is a decent town for some good shows.
of course new orleans gets some great bands...
TONS of great bands... and it has way more venues than BR obviously.
There's def a different culture for live music in nola of course.
That's why the house of blues can operate on a nightly basis, and the varsity does not. Also a very different booking philosophy with the two venues of course.
The Spanish Moon gets some of the biggest indie touring acts in the country. Then a week after they play the SM, they are on the cover of spin or rolling stone ect
Chelseas had ryan bingham a few times before and after he got popular, and books great national and local acts all the time.
Those two venues are very solid with the booking, and the varsity has good acts every now and then.
but what's really awesome with Baton Rouge is the local music scene... although it's not highly publicized, it's pretty damn good.
