I got some 5-6 count shrimp from a buddy that caught these in Dulac yesterday. Any good marinades or recipes to do these bad boys on the pit? Any other ideas?

I'd split them, salt and pepper and grill basted with butter

It semi cooks the bacon. If you don't somewhat pre cook it, by the time the bacon gets done, the shrimp is over cooked

I like to peel them, poke hole in center and run asparagus spear thru middle. Abt three per spear. Baste with lemon, butter and garlic and grill. A little Gruyere on top after flipping is nice.

season them with salt, pepper and little bit of sugar (helps the shrimp brown). Grill over high heat.
Top with some barbecue butter
-1/2 stick butter
2 cloves minced garlic
Pinch of black and cayenne
1 tsp paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano.
Let butter come to room temp, add all ingredients, then wrap in to a log-shaped roll using plastic wrap.
Now you have real barbecued barbecue shrimp
