Agreed. Sounds to me like the OP has embellished and exaggerated his story in some spots, and left out pieces of the story in other parts.

and I see no way that after 35 minutes and talking to a manager that the OP and girlfriend just get sent packing with nothing, but i believe it happened.
my experience there was very underwhelming. the place just doesnt seem to run smoothly.

Went back and read the OP. DIdnt clarify if it was even a manager. Might have just been a cashier, who from my only experience there, werent the sharpest tools in the shed.

It's fast food. They probably went out back to smoke a bowl and eat some eggrolls before they made the order. 20 minutes is not beyond belief by any means.

I'm going to tentatively say no. I just don't find it absurd that someone might have had to wait 20 minutes in an empty establishment. That wouldn't be the most egregious offense establishments like that have committed.
Now, is it acceptable? Of course not. But unbelievable? Nope.
