I'm with ya on the zester.
I just got a new one that actually makes a clean pass over a lemon. Life changing.
I've been mincing the curls and adding that to smoked fish dips. Beats lemon juice and keeps the consistency right.

Use this bad boy at least once a week. Doubles as a club in the event of a home invasion. Posted on 4/5/16 at 8:34 am to jeepfreak

Garlic Baker
I have one of those, it works really well, but lately I've just been wrapping the garlic in foil and setting the whole pack in my cast iron skillet... takes all the cleaning out of the process, just harvest the roasted garlic and throw the rest away.

I have a fairly powerful KitchenAid one, but I'm on my THIRD bowl. The stupid safety latch thingy keeps breaking
Ugh, I have the same problem! It doesn't really break, but it's like the spring goes bad that resets the little white piece that presses the button to turn on the mixer. I figured out how to manually reset it by just pushing it down with my finger and it works like a charm.
Thanks everyone for all of the input!

I forgot to mention my immersion blender. Use it all the time.

I think all my favorites have been mentioned already so I'll second some of them:
Immersion Blender
Kitchen Scale
Kitchen shears (the kind you can separate into two parts for washing)
Vacuum sealer - pair it with the scale and buy your ground beef in 10lb increments then section it out.
Good wine opener
Egg Poaching Pan

Same here. Our small one is basically useless. We do have a larger one that my mother in law wasn't using and gave us, so I use that, but the small one was the perfect size for chopping nuts and small things. The big one is really only good for making chicken salad or other large recipes. Ours wasn't the bowl that broke, but the lid that attaches to it is cracked. I have to really hold it in place to use it.
