I agree ATL...they're two different places.

Huh? I don't pay that much for 3 of us.

I agree with that too...I'm not really sure how two people spend over $20 at Five Guys...I usually spend around $15. If the service at Mugshots is as bad as everyone says, I'm not paying an extra $10 for crappy service.

I'm not sure how to spend less than $20 apparently. App + burger + beer + tax/tip = >$20 always...

We were just talking about 5 guys. No apps or beer.

I prefer Mugshots to 5 Guys. I like the variety and I've gotten good service every time. The McDonald is a really tasty burger. The pulled pork is really good too.

ETA: as far as the longevity questions. I've been there probably 8 times and the lunch crowd seems to get bigger each time. Ate there this past Saturday and the had a pretty decent crowd. I for one hope they stay around a while.

Mugshots was OK.. been a couple of times, will go back.. same with 5 Guys it is good for what it is, what I refer to as "upscale fast food).. will go back.

My problem with Mugshots is the atmosphere is terrible .. it is Champps with a different menu.. if they would have created a better atmosphere and added a little "character" to the place I think it would be much better... and also we went to watch the 1st 1/2 of the MNC game there and 1 tv could not catch HD so it was literally 5 seconds ahead of all the others.. probably should have switched them all to standard def at that point (as suggested by my 8yr old), that was just aggravating surely to them as well.

there should be a disclaimer on the mugshots menu saying "the only thing edible on our menu is our burgers"....

Brag got their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was really good. I'd imagine their like 4 pastas on the menu are probably gross, but I also am sure those are just there to please the person who was dragged to a burger joint and doesn't like burgers

I thought it was widely known that it was a burger place.

Don't know what you got. We both got the regular burger (which has 2 meats.. ew) and we split a large fry and each had a soft drink. That's it. And it was $22 total.

Yeah I forgot about that. We get the singles and usually have water, and split fries.

And the 4th person makes tomato soup out of water and ketchup packs...

It's kind of a meeting place for college kids to socialize, hang around, grab a bite to eat, maybe a beer. And at night turns into a bar for the college students to come and party.

With that in mind, it would do MUCH better closer to campus...but, there's only so much space around.

I wish they would have put Mugshot's where the new BWW is. Not that I think BWW is disgusting or anything, but the reality is we already have a BWW.. even if it isn't on campus. We have a Plucker's down the road from campus... and a Hooter's not too far either.
Mugshot's could have attracted a college crowd and been more successful on campus than it is in Towne Centre.

Every time I mention eating at Mugshot's, people ask me what it is. They REALLY need to do some advertising.

And, this is pretty much what I was thinking when I posted the comment about being closer to campus. Moreover, wing places really have gotten a bit out of hand

I know that I'm not supposed to ban a place after only 1 visit, but I can't ever see myself choosing Mugshots over the numerous other places in that area for food. Now, I could see myself drinking and playing some GT there (if they have one).

Actually our server & the service was very good at Mug's, and she even recommended that we try the burgers. We don't listen very well.

And 5 guys special cooks your burgers?

Nope, but they also don't claim that they will. They also don't hold themselves out as anything but a fast food burger. Not a specialty burger shop that cooks well done even when asked not to.
