Monroe folk, where are you getting split logs for your stick smokers?

Academy was the only place I knew of, and apparently all they’re carrying now is chunks

You should never use the wood at Academy for a true stick burner. It's kiln dried, find someone on Craigslist and buy you a cheap moisture meter to check if it's actually seasoned.

I get pecan local, but I meant things like cherry. (Shoulda been more specific I guess).

I doubt any store here will be stocking fruit wood in any form besides chips and chunks.

Yea I’ve never seen any store selling sticks of fruit wood. You’ll have to find a person with the trees you’re looking for or a crafty firewooder guy. Craigslist will probably help.

Academy had B&B brand cherry and apple, along with post oak, pecan, mesquite, hickory, and maple. I’d always get my fruit wood or hickory from there. Was disappointing to see they only carry chunks now.
