no real atmosphere to speak of .. primarily a take-out sandwich shop. that being said the sandwiches are off the hook.

that's ok, butcher doesn't have any real atmosphere and I like that place.

butcher has tons more atmosphere than Milk Bar.

and while we're comparing the two I'll say that I think MB does better sandwiches. Butcher is decent, but usually the sandwiches are very very greasy. I get that it's supposed to be decadent and indulgent and they use lots of fatty meats, sauces, etc.. but when the bread is completely soaked through with grease you're trying too hard.

ever gotten it to-go? the parchment paper is soaked through. the grease can't escape all the way though so it absorbs into the bread. quite unappetizing at times.

Shrimply the best is a wildcard that is pretty awesome.

I have eaten it to go a good bit. Never noticed. Maybe it's certain sandwiches

I know when I get the gambino to go, by the time I get on the interstate it's greasin' through the paper it's wrapped in and sometimes even greasin' through the paper bag all the food is in.

eta: I'm not complaining though
