Fun,feather or fur. What's the one meat you can't forsake?

Pork for me. I could abandon steaks I lieu of a good tenderloin, plus I can have the skin fried as a low carb snack.

Yours?

Beef. The only chicken I ever care about is only due to other ingredients overpowering it. And I could give up pork tomorrow if it didn't mean giving up charcuterie.

I could easily live without chicken. I stopped using it in gumbos, jambalayas and such years ago.

Does giving up chicken mean giving up turkey as well?

I figure I could substitute pretty easily.

Nah. I still fry turkeys for Thanksgiving and smoke turkeys for gumbo.

So the no chicken in gumbo is like not wearing a watch because of your cellphone.

could live without beef. I literally eat about 10-15 times a week. just got through eating a prime rib off my weber kettle. If I knew how to post pics I would.

its a hard choice between beef and saltwater critters if we're including them one group (shrimp, fish crabs etc.) If I only got one type of saltwater critter then beef for sure.
