That's true. I think most people just assume a business won't frick up so badly.
I've only ever truly had "horrible" crawfish once. While I like some places more than others, I've never really bought crawfish that wasn't good at all. I'd never think to sample. And like I said, I'd never know from one crawfish anyway. Too much variation simply in the same batch since some have different tasting fat and whatnot.

Of course I don't, but I wouldn't expect you to understand that. I try to do my research prior to going to a restaurant, using all of the usual resources.
I've learned, over much time which sources to trust and which sources that I shouldn't trust. I also, adjust my expectations on my first visit to a new or unfamiliar restaurant.
I'm sure you do the same.

No I am curious. How do you ask for a sample of crawfish differently than said person in Tonys?

I can't help you out with that. If your upbringing is lacking perhaps you should vent to your parents for not teaching you properly.
