Owned by the same folks who owned the recently-closed Altamura. ManhattanJack seemed popular and was expensive...I'm guessing they sunk the rent and supplier money into Altamura and are in a bind.

I had heard that there was a rift in the ownership group and that contributed to Altumara closing. Manhattan Jack closing gives this some credence because if Jack is out it makes sense Jernigan would want to rebrand.
Relasted, I thought the food at Altumara was great. What they did with the inside space was well done, but it still felt more cramped than cozy. As well as they did with the space and fact it still didn't hit the spot top generate more business, I don't think anything can be successful there.

MJ was a big ol meh for me. Indifferent service, sterile atmosphere, try-hard items that didn't deliver.....

Altamura was garbage to its core. Awful experience for me and everyone I know that's been there.
