Making beans without trinity

This should be doable right? The loons at my local Publix completely wiped out all vegetables, fresh and frozen.

In a pinch, dried onion can be rehydrated. Or use onion powder and garlic powder. Some stores sell dehydrated bell pepper in the spice section, too.

No reason beans can't be made without our normal seasonings.

We use the trinity because that is what were grew up eating in our food but in other parts of this country, they never heard of it before TV cooking shows brought it to them via the airwaves.

I keep a container of “Zydeco Chop Chop” in my pantry. Works great in a bind, or when you feel lazy.

Do you have sausage? Or bacon?

Render your sausage and keep a lot more fat in than usual. Add in some butter. Any dried seasonings.

It'll still be good eats even if you have to cook it all in water.
