Magnalite Roaster

Just bought a vintage 13 qt Magnalite roaster primarily to make gumbo, etouffee, etc. I have heard various things about seasoning a magnalite pot before use. I'm familiar with cast iron and the seasoning process. Is this necessary or recommended with aluminum?
Thanks,
Jeff

No seasoning needed.
Some people claim acidic foods like cooking tomato can give off a metallic taste. I've never had a problem with Magnalite.
Adding salt to cold water and very high heats can pit it, otherwise they are fairly durable. Aluminum is no ferrous so induction cooking is out.
