Was cooking dinner for the gf and she really likes creamed corn so I decided to give it a whirl.
Most recipes I saw suggest adding sugar to it because it's supposed to be a somewhat sweet side
In lieu of the sugar I added in some jalapeno pepper jelly and it came out great. Give it a try sometime

That doesn't sound like a good combo.
Kinda like a peanut butter an bologna sandwich.

Great idea. Sweetness and heat in one ingredient.

Mind sharing your recipe?
I would but I kinda winged it
Essentially just corn, butter, and half and half and then I had to get it to almost a boil when I added the pepper jelly so it would melt and blend into everything.
I made a slurry with some cornstarch to thicken at the end. I would just find a creamed corn recipe and instead of sugar put double the amount of jalapeno pepper jelly. i.e. if it calls for a TBSP of sugar, put 2 TBSP of pepper jelly.
