I'll be in Gonzales today, all day. Any good sit down place to grab lunch?

Mike Anderson's - the best M.A. of the two. Located next to The Clarion Hotel (or whatever it is called). Shrimp Norman.

There's also Sno's. Don's Seafood. And one of my new favorites, Pho Viet. The Shrimp Baco is fantastic. Also, the Vietnamese wings are one of my favorites as far as wings go. Great egg rolls, and Pho. And Shrimp Spring Roll. If you're looking for something different.

Me and the wife love Lebanese food but my mom will be with us so that's probably out of the question.

Wife and mom going with you, I would go to starlite, just call ahead to make sure they don’t close on mondays too

Mike Anderson’s is a good safe recommendation but I’ll give a few of different ones that are more exclusive to the Gonzales area but still good.

If you will be close to the interstate hop on I-10 East and get right back off at the Sorrento exit. Go to the Coffee House in the Cajun Village. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. I like the open faced beignet with shrimp etouffe.

For super casual check out Pot n Paddle. I recommend the pork roast special and the bread pudding.

If you want authentic Mexican check out Sahuayo or Taqueria Don Beto. I like the Chile Rellenos at Sahuayo and the Barbacoa Gorditas at Don Beto.

Sno's or Mike Anderson's

I think Sno's has a better menu and it's a little quieter.

We ended up eating jamabalaya where we were. It was very good too. Not sure who cooked it.
