Looking for a good lunch spot today near the Alamo or downtown. No Tex mex, we are that for dinner last night. TIA

Shilo's Deli... been there since 1917, serving german oriented Texas fare.
Killer food, unique experience. Walk through the place, if for nothing else than to see the amazing taxidermy (some of the biggest deer I've ever seen).

Yardhouse is a good option on Commerce Street.

I was there on business a few weeks ago and stayed at that historical Hilton hotel next to the Alamo. I stumbled up in Saltgrass because they had the shortest line down in all that mix of restaraunts by the water and was very surprised at how good my ribeye was.

There's a mall downtown that had an Italian place with amazing food. Luciano's Express maybe? I remember it being delicious and less than $10.
