Love the Fish en Papillote. I thought the oysters lagniappe was a great appetizer. The only complaint I have is I thought most of the pan cooked fish dishes came out greasy, almost as if the oil or whatever used was old. It overpowered the taste of the fish which obviously was not a good thing.

Thanks, I'll definitely check it out. I'm not sure I can trust this guy's judgment when it comes to food or not.

I need to make a return trip. I imagine the wait on Friday during lent is ridiculous.

When they first opened they always had a really diverse list of fresh fish to choose from, now its black drum, catfish, tuna and salmon at best. I eat all of those, but like some variety and have found other spots in town offering a better mix. Food is always prepared well and I’ve never experienced bad service, just the aforementioned wait

Dinner tonight was delicious. We went to live after 5, got there around 815, no wait. Crowd/no reservations is definitely an issue, but as long as they can get away with it, they will.
Crawfish bisque was great. Fried oysters on the ceasar salad were perfect. Wife had the fish Roland, very good. I had stuffed flounder special. It was really good, not great. Wish I had gone with fish in the bag.
They are not re-invinting seafood, and they aren’t trying to. They are as consistent a meal as there is in Baton Rouge (Ruth’s also very consistent ). I’m not sure I’ve ever left disappointed, and I certainly didn’t tonight.
