Looking for someplace for dinner that has good, not overpriced seafood/poboys,oysters and cold beer. Just moved back into town and have done the usual places like Sammy’s walk ons, chimes, Mike Anderson’s etc .

Chimes has way better food than Sammy's and Walk On's. I wouldn't compare these.
Chimes, Parrains, Georges ( Overpass ) are my go-to. Its hard to unseat those 3, in my eyes, for the no frills seafood and beer places.

Roux 61 has maybe my favorite fried Catfish.
Just remember to sit in the bar area, or you’ll feel really cut off from everything.

Jed’s would be good for poboys. They have seafood options but I haven’t tried them yet

Duke’s in Denham at I-12 (also In Watson) is hard to beat. Seafood is excellent. Even the Steaks are superb!
