I'm not a huge fan of Doe's hot tamales. They're good, but not even the best in Greenville... When you leave Doe's go to the HWY 82/ HWY1 intersection, turn on 82 eastbound, and about a half mile down the road, on the north side of the road, there's a drive thru called Hot Tamale Heaven that are incredible.

This. Big John at Hot Tamale Heaven opened up the shop early on a Monday when we were coming home from King Bisquit Blues last year so we could get our talmale fix. Best I've ever had.
