My dad has 50-60 head of cattle and people have been stopping by a couple times a week lately to see if he wants to sell them. Demand is nuts right now.

I don’t know where this “grass fed” craze came from. It was always better to corn feed cows or pigs for a few weeks before slaughtering.
Actress Kristen Schaal grew up on a Colorado cattle ranch. She was on a podcast, and the host asked her if they ever ate the cattle. She said they did only if if one was injured before being sold to the feed lot. "But the meat wasn't any good because it was grass fed."
I thought that was funny, coming from a ranch family and given the craze at the time for grass fed beef.
