Looking back at 2022 on F&D board...

A few dishes stand out for me that I wouldn't have tried without inspiration from F&D. I got back into making tamales after years off and I discovered a great recipe for Plantation Shrimp Creole (shared by Stadium) that I used to serve 100 friends to rave reviews.
But I think the dish that will stick with me and one that I'll do at least annually when I want to do something special for friends is the Creole Stuffed turkey wings. What an incredible dish.... also shared by Stadium IIRC.
Mash for turkey wings
What about y'all?

Made my first Gumbo (Paul Prudhomme's fried chicken and andouille) and delicious Potato Salad from Donald Link's recipe
I come from an immediate family that didn't really do much scratch cooking growing up. This board has helped me grow tremendously as a cook over the years.

The wine thread died. I haven’t seen it in months. Wine should have more of a presence besides “Caymus is overrated “.
Other than that, I am always entertained and impressed by the challenges and love all the conversations.
Cheers! Happy New Year!
