Bought one of these for my NG Weber and man talk about a life changer. I love this thing it cooks great and cleans easy. So far I have made fajitas, patty melts, omelets, pancakes, variety of breakfast meats, and hamburgers. Looking for some good recipes or ideas if anyone has recommendations. If you have a gas grill and think you may want a griddle I highly recommend one of these. Originally I was going to get a Blackstone LP griddle but found this and very happy with it. Saves room, a lot cheaper and I don't have to convert to NG just use me existing grill.

That just sits directly on top of your grill? How long does it take to heat up? and I imagine there are heat zones all over if its just sitting on the grill a good distance from the burners.

Yes, you just set it directly on the grill. I have a four burner so I put it in the left corner of my grill which leave one grate uncovered. Naturally the left side is a little hotter than the right due to heat loss. I generally leave the lid closed which will get it up to temp in about 5-10 minutes. From there depending on what im cooking and how much heat I need I open or close. I found its the perfect temp for pancakes, omelets. Very hard to burn and cooks them perfectly. This goes for toast etc. I would say my biggest issue is with bacon. It takes a little longer than I would like. I think I need to get a bacon press which should speed it up. Hamburgers cook great as well. I like that it doesn't get searing hot. It would be a lot harder to deal with. Im sure it would depend on the grill etc on how it performs but it works great on my Genesis II. I use the griddle 10x more than the grill.

Is that a grease trap in the front?

I have that very same model. I use it for tailgating. It heats up quickly and evenly. It is very well made and cleans up nicely.

I just got the half moon griddle for my xl bge. Used it this morning for bacon sausage and eggs. I have got to figure out how to get some of the grease out of it after the bacon. The eggs were floating.

That's what's great about this one, it has the grease trough in the front, you just you your spatula to rake excess grease into the trough as you cook. Let it cool and spoon it out once it congeals.

Ive never seen one. Sounds interesting, I have a Weber Genesis that it would probably do well on.
