BR shops that carry MF cigars will have them this week in their shipment. I called and asked lol.

I'll check B&M for a single but MF is almost twice as expensive as buying through Corona Cigar Co. I don't mind supporting my B&M for singles but I'm not paying the extra $150 on a box.
I had one of my most hideous experiences today with a CCC Gold barber pole. It had been in my humidor for over a decade so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. The first two thirds of the cigar were unremarkable. At the end of the second third I found a soft spot, then two, and then the tunneling started. Finally I decided the best use for the final third was to show/explain to my son how a cigar is constructed. In the end the best thing about the cigar was some unburned wrapper that I can use to patch up a few Cohibas that have flaked. I've got 6 more CCC Golds on my humidor that I'll use up as yard gars.

Sunday morning smoke.
I bought a box on clearance from Corona Cigar Co. Smoked one on delivery and have had the rest of the box sitting in my humidor for 3 months. Huge difference... even burn, smooth, and now of chocolate and wood. Just after half it's become creamy with no hint of bitterness.

After a month of rest I cracked open a box of MF Blues.
Beautiful tooth!
I'm hoping to get my hands on a La Lealtad Toro Gordo at my B&M tomorrow. I'm starting to lose my patience with Corona and might have to order the box from Neptune instead.

Not impressed with this at all. The blue is 100x better than this one. I bought 2 of them and I’ll re-visit it in about 6 months.

Thanks for your impression. My shop still hasn't gotten them in which looks to be the norm as of Friday. Which left me making this mistake...
Woof...$14 dog rocket. FSG lower band took a piece of wrapper with it. It all went downhill from there. Most expensive stick I've put down before hitting the halfway mark. I'm hoping my shop has the La Lealtad to try tomorrow.

Started off smooth mild and mellow. By the final 3rd, it opened up to more of a medium flavor. Good cigar with a good price point.

Thank you for that. I'm pretty much an AJ fan Boi. I find his stuff I like and then wait for sales. But I'm not exclusive.

quote:Cigar Hound uploaded a review last night with the same impression. I have a few gift cards that I was going to use on a box of them but now I'm not sure if the money would be better spent on a couple of Padron samplers.
Not impressed with this at all.

New DE is def box worthy. Solid medium smoke.

I've been watching youtube videos from Bliss cigars. It's mesmerizing. Watched a video from LifebyMikeG where he grew and rolled his own cigars. Also a neat watch.
Plan on smoking a cigar or 2 this weekend. I have a Padron 64 Maduro in my humidor in mind.

This afternoon I ran into a Pepin Garcia stick I didn't care for, the Fonseca Toro Gordo.
It was soft halfway through, had an uneven burn, and the taste was a bit off. I should've let it rest (I had just moved it into my humidor on Sunday) so I'll probably try it in a different vitola when I order again, which may be awhile since I hate ordering through the mail between June and October. I'm not going to pay $18 for that stick locally when it's $11 with a retailer who has earned my loyalty (in store and online) over the past 2 decades.

All of the executives where my wife works are given a week at a lake house/mansion every summer. Everyone else brings alcohol and it just becomes a communal thing. We don't so my wife got the idea that cigars should be our thing. FWIW, I'm the guy in charge for procuring the sticks for the executive retreat and have been putting together samplers for the owner out of my humidor. We bought a 40 stick desktop along with the Boveda seasoning & 65% packs/holder. If you were filling it with an assortment of 20 sticks, what would you put in there? I know of 3 that he likes, the Hemingway Signature, one of CCC's house blends (I've given him two and he was able to recognize that one had been aging for 10 years vs 9 months), and the CAO Intensa. Would it be bad form to put a few good ones in there and then fill the rest of the humidor with sticks from samplers I don't care to smoke?

I used to buy boxes of cigars for clients back when I was a newbie/grunt worker. You could never go wrong with the Padron thousand series cigars.
If you wanna mix, put some Fuente Don Carlos in there.

Have any of you ordered a box but were sent a single? I was looking forward to trying a stick and adding the rest. Instead I have a $240 stick that's pissing me off every time I look at it.
With their lack of a response Corona Cigar Company has lost a long time customer. Third straight order that they've screwed up and then shrugged their shoulders. Stay away!
