Just placed an order on cigar page.

Padron 1964 Maduro - GOAT
Padron 5000 Maduro
La Flor Domenica Double Ligero Maduro

I had the Mi Amor in my cart but saw they restocked padron's and didn't want to spend too much.

Glad to see this thread is still going strong. Enjoying a Blackened and some Sazerac at the camp on a nice West Texas night.

We began our annual event tonight. Along with massive amounts of fried, blackened and grilled seafood I had:
Timeless by Nat Sherman TAA 2019 toro
Kristoff Tres Hermanos toro
Maria Mancini corona gorda with at least 20 years on it. Great night.

I’ve noticed that with a lot of the aroma de Cuba’s I’ve had. Absolutely love their flavor but all have been extremely tight draws.

Had this sitting in my humidor for about 3 years.

My first Basin. I was surprised that it lasted 2 hours. Ate lunch about a half hour prior to lighting. Kept it simple with a glass of Pellegrino no ice.

I bought it about 3 weeks ago from our local smoke shop (last one in the box). It looked great but noted the tobacco ropes looked a bit tight along with a nice vein down the length of the stick. V-cut. The light was a PITA. Half lit and the other half didn't light despite a good toasting. Inoted a tight draw which might be another symptom of an uneven roll. My torch finally got it lit and the first third evened out quickly and was quite smooth. The ash fell off about an inch in. Second third required multiple touch-ups for tunneling. I would've abandoned it if not for the novelty of smoking through those ropes. Thankfully I did because the last third was phenomenal. Sweet notes of fruit, leather, and earth. On the retrohale and standard exhale I had that feeling of deja vu that took me back 20 years to Florida's cigar lounges. I couldn't/can't place the note but it has made smoking another stick a must for me.

It cost me $19 but I accepted it out of curiousity about the hype. It's MSRP of $14 seems on point. The complexity requires you to sit and enjoy the ride.

I'm going to the lounge tomorrow afternoon to celebrate my last birthday before hitting 50. My oldest turned 21 on Sunday so he's going with me too. It's an old school tobacconist shop that caters 50/50 to pipe/cigar aficionados but they carry nearly everything (though not always all vitolas). Any suggestions?

ETA: I went with the Padron 1964 Presidente. Just a shave over $33 and worth every cent. I choose not to pair it with anything. Just a standard V-cut and a couple of touch ups caused by neglect while in a conversation about our families.

Sounds a good day, well, except for the 33 dollars.

I’m in Biloxi for the weekend and I stopped to the shop out here and picked up a few of these Tatuajes. They’re one of the TAA yearly releases.

Real dark bold flavor. Def full body. I like these a lot and def gonna stop by tmmw and buy a full box of them to age.
