Not a big fan of buffets. The appeal is that it's all you can eat and many options
In Golden Corral's case I agree. When I go to Indian, Mediterranean and even Chinese sometimes I prefer buffets.
I love Indian and Mediterranean food but can't remember all of names of the items I like, if I even knew them in the fist place. This makes it difficult to order something off of a menu, especially when most times it is written in a foreign language or looks like it to me even if it is in English.

e will switch the buffet over to lunch at 11am.
Best time to go. Get breakfast, and be there when the fried shrimp comes out.
You can load a to go box full of shrimp for $2 extra.

I've been once and it was probably about 8 years ago. It's not so much the food that's bad and if you are low carbing it you can do quite well with the meat and veggie options.
It's the customers who frequent it. I choose not to eat around people that frequent these restaurants for a reason, and I thank my parents for raising me right.

Again, with GC's it's all about location. I don't mind eating around older people many of whom are retired veterans. There's the occasional lawn crew and cops that may be from another area. At lunch people who work in the area(teachers, realtors and bank employees) and live elsewhere. If you live in a shitty place, your GC will have shitty customers.
