I'd be kind of pissed if my wife did it, much less some kid crashing at my house

That kid is getting high and raiding the fridge at night.

I wouldn't even do this at my own parent's house, mush less someone else's.

Maybe accuse your wife of eating the leftovers and make sure he can hear you. Tell her you were looking forward to having them later.

If he doesn't take the hint, then sit him down and layout some ground rules.

And, oh yeah, it's kinda weird to have someone else's kid living in your house.

Nothing is more enticing than seeing a Styrofoam clamshell in the fridge. My wife goes out to eat a lot and usually doesn't eat all of what she orders. Unless it's a dessert, she doesn't want it, so I am the scavenger.

That being said, this millennial moocher you have needs ground rules. There is no creature on earth that can consume more that a male teenager, they are ravenous 24/7,l so time for a sit down/

It's a shame Purina doesn't make like a 50lb. bag of "Millennial Chow".

My a-hole wife would probably laugh at me.

If its home cooked for the family, leftovers are first come, first serve. But, restaurant leftovers are the property of the person who ordered the dish.

Sounds like you should make this rule known to him instead of starting a thread on an anonymous message board that he'll never see. If you let him eat the home cooked leftovers without dispute why would your restaurant leftovers be any different?
