Trulucks, Caracol, Massraffs. Like Wolf said, far fewer kid friendly spots around there. But tons of good adult spots.

Slide down to Montrose and go to Hugos or El Tiempo.

Parking is readily available in the lots near the stadium or in the garage for the Marriott (biggios is in the Marriott). Or in any of the other downtown garages near Minute Maid.

If you are down for a little walk you can find street parking in the East Downtown area for free and hit a few bars on the way to the game, depending on the kid situation.

I just want to bump this thread and say thanks.

This area is up and coming and plenty of brand new spots and developments.

We were able to hit up some of the spots on this thread that was recommended, and the most underrated that I wish I had more time to spend at was 8th Wonder Brewery. I just had enough time to pop in and get some beer and roll out. The place was awesome though and looked fun.
