These were Made in the US by Lodge $169 retail. EPA rules shut this down as this enamel process done right is not very clean I guess? One thing about cast IRION , there is a lot coming from China that is not screened for cadium and other contaminates that can leach into food so I would note buy Un coated cast IRION from China. Lodge has a scanner that the trucks caring pig IRION (comes from South America) have to pass through. It is also screened several times a day with each pot off the melter for contaminates and the right graphite content which makes cast IRION good, even the oil they use to season the product is kosher.

Le creuset is higher quality, more beautiful, will last longer, and perform better. I'm not going to tell you it's worth it; that's your choice.
At the end of the day if you can't make a badass jambalaya using only cheap grocery store shite and a butter knife you need to hand overyour coonass card. But for most of us cooking doubles as a hobby/love and we like to indulge when we can.

The only thing I'd add for the general knowledge pool is that the lodge enameled products are made in China. (To their standards and oversight) but it's enough to keep me leery
