Last minute decision to bring a king cake on a flight

Just realized King Cakes should be available now and my family would love one. I usually go to Randazzo's to bring one home and stuff it in the suitcase. Do they still package them with the plastic wrap? Last time I did this years ago it worked out fine and didn't get crushed by luggage.

True. I will see if I can fit it into the duffle we have and just transfer those to the checked bag.

It may even count as a personal item and you can still carry your duffel on. I’ve seen people just straight up carrying a cake in its box.

This. My in laws live in Texas and brought them 2 cakes. No problems
