I think it was meant for Edward. Enjoyed the show, hopefully a second season is coming.

The Wire

Posted by Rooster2023 on 8/4/25 at 10:50 am
I’ve started the wire after all the praise it has gotten on this board. Idk if it’s me or the show, but I’m 7 episodes into the first season and I find it to be very boring and slow paced. Does it pick up any, or is that how the show is?

My wife (no pics) went there and that’s who I thought it was as well

Road trip to Holly Springs, MS

Posted by Rooster2023 on 7/6/25 at 9:40 am
Heading to Holly Springs, MS this upcoming weekend for an engagement party. Coming from Nola and going up 55. Wondering if there is a lunch spot along the way that’s worth stopping at. TIA

Playing the bridges this weekend. Never played it before. Any reports on the condition.

TIA
Whichever one is on the same side as the club house is the better one imo. Can’t ever remember which is which though

New golf clubs

Posted by Rooster2023 on 4/8/25 at 2:36 pm
I am looking to get new clubs. I am currently hitting a Wilson starter set my parents got me when I was 16, which is almost 20 years ago now. I typically shoot in the low 100’s, to upper 90’s on my best day. I play about 20 rounds a year, give or take. I am wondering what are the best bang for my buck clubs and is it worth getting fitted.

TIA

The good stuff

SIAP but I didn’t see a thread about it. I am curious if anyone has tried this and would recommend or stay clear of it. Looking to boost my morning coffee. TIA

re: Started watching HIMYM again

It was one of my favorite shows and yes the ending was terrible. I started it back up again a few months ago and made it to early season 2, but I just can’t find the same interest in it like I had before. Might try again while waiting for other shows I watch to come back

Thriller/suspense movie

Playing there on Saturday. Haven’t played it in a few years. Wondering how it is.

how so?

Better schools, infrastructure, roads, jobs, much of what has already been said.
I’ve lived in Louisiana my whole life and looking to move out. My wife is from the Dallas area. After a resent trip to visit her folks, she came back and said she’d be willing to move back in about 2-4 years. I’m hoping and praying she means that. I know how much better a quality of life we could have there compared to here.

re: Dublin next week

Was in Dublin back in early September. Agree with what’s been said, I’ll add the Irish whiskey museum, if you’re into whiskey. Had a great guide which made the tour. It’s across the street from trinity college.

We did Dublin in 2 days and to me that was plenty enough. We took a train to Howth and spend the day there. Highly recommend that

I finished it last night. I was really into it and liked all the twist, but it got to a point to where I just wanted to know who victor Sam’s was. The last episode was a bit ridiculous and I take it with the ending there will be a second season
What is a good protein shake/supplement to take or add to said diet?
