Headed back this year for my annual father's day fishing trip. We are staying off of the loop close to Darrell's. I am looking for good place for dinner close by but was hoping for something better than sandwiches. We did the boiled seafood place by the I-10 bridge last year, but hoped for something different and closer. Any thoughts or recs are appreciated. TIA!

Mazens. Right down the road from Darrel's. Get the crap crepe and any entree with crab meat on top. They load it up.

Sha Shas downtown- good local seafood
121 Artisan Bistro- good brick oven pizza/calzones and believe it or not steaks
Mazens-nice sit down, fish,lamb
Pujo St Cafe-also downtown,nice sit down, shrimp bisque is good
La Truffe Sauvage-formal, very good
Cancun Mexican-good pork carnitas,chili relleno

Mazen's is close. The Harlequin is right there too.

Luna's downtown is really good. Their Luna Tuna is awesome. So is their ribeye.

I went to Sha Sha's once and will not go back. The service was terrible and the food was really bland.

Southern Spice on Ryan Street is good. Never had a bad experience there.

All I can think of off the top of my head.

121 Artisan Bistro on south Ryan has really good steaks.
Luna downtown-good food & music
Mazens is really good
Seafood at Pat's of Hendersons is always good
