Koi Chinese - A brief review w/pics

Finally went to Koi Sushi and ordered off the Chinese menu. We didn't have to ask, they handed us both menus as we were seated. I enjoyed both dishes we tried.
Cumin Pork (mildly spicy)
This was just killer. Tender pork, really compelling cumin flavor that stayed interesting and addictive with each bite. There were also a veg in the stir fry that I could not completely identify. I think it may have been a sort of mushroom, but it was fairly firm. It provided a nice texture change and just carried the cumin flavor
Hot Oil Beef
I think this is what is frequently called "Boiled Beef" in sichuan restaurants. It's a very spicy broth with slices of beef, (bok choy or some other similar Chinese green), mushrooms, carrot pieces & fresh bamboo shoots. It was really good, but I'd be willing to try something else next time.
I think the downside of the cumin pork was I will want to order it every single time I go.
Overall it was a great experience. It's not often that I get an unexpected great meal in the BR area. I think it will be on the new, regular dining rotation. I regret not taking a picture of the menu as you cannot find it online anywhere.

I really like the hot boiled beef. But then again I like the hot boiled beef at most places that offer it. The hotter the better.
Will try that cummin pork next time.

The black pepper beef (?) meal is so good. I believe it is also the most expensive option as well, worth it though.

I was not able to find their chinese menu online anywhere. I regret not taking a picture so I could post it.
