You heled me "fix" one a while back, changed two gears that we're missing teeth and relubed it, it worked fine, then wouldn't drive anymore.

I need to reexamine it. I shelved it out of frustration.

Did I fix itor walk you through?
If.I fixed it's under warranty.
If you fixed..

If flip.top, then a pin is out of place not allowing the worm gear to move.

If bowl lift the pinion gear is out of alignment.

Also, if tilt head, check the "brushes" behind the black screws on the sides. They wear out and it won't come on.
They can only go on a certain way so be careful to line up the notch with the right corner.

I go around and buy every broken one I can.

they are really great but the thing that keeps me from buying one, other then the high price, is they are just sitting on the counter like a decoration 98% of the time. but when you need a mixer there isnt a better one made.

saw one for $40 last week on FB marketplace, the lady said it was a 4 months old gift and it was never used still in box !!! she was moving and didnt want to haul it with her since she wasnt really in need of a mixer.

the ad was only up for 5 minutes and it already had 6 responses and she said it was already sold. somebody got a steal of a deal on that one

Wut wut! I have one, too, from its days known as the Assistent. Didn’t know we had another serious baker here! Although I feel like I’ve typed that before lol.

Serious enough to have gone semi-pro in the last 18 mos. (cottage business)

I just like to drop Ankarsrum into the KA conversation b/c it doesn't have the huge product placement on TV that KA enjoys, and the units are ultra reliable. It took me a little while to adjust to the different mixing motion, but now I wouldn't part with it for love or money.
