Had lunch at Kin today....damned good. Chicken meatballs over vermicelli, served with artfully arranged pickled diakon, carrots, lettuce....pork belly/shrimp/cabbage fried dumplings w ponzu, shoyu ramen w duck breast, fried soft cooked egg. Very nice looking plates coming out of the kitchen all around. Dinner menu had a wide range of interesting flavors.....definitely planning to go back at night. It's tiny, so res are already getting tough, I hear.

We went a couple weeks ago. Owners are good friends of my brother and myself. I was rushing to catch a flight home so didn't get the full package. Lomo saltado stir fry was money. Nate can flat out get it done. Hope that location can sustain it because the food is there

It was fairly full at lunch around 12:30 today, though the server said lunches had been slow.

I saw the pictures of that chicken pasta dish. It looked amazing.

In my opinion, Kin is serving the most beautiful and intricate dishes.
I can't wait to get back in these.

I still think they'll find a new home before too long.

Re: space, I dunno.....there is a certain appeal in the simple, no frills space that lends a cozy feel. It doesn't seem they're reaching for crazy runaway crowds, but rather a likeminded crowd. I think the sleeper location is great. Low overhead means more $$ to spend on quality ingredients.

In Gert-town? I've passed it, didn't know what it was.
