My 6 year old daughter loves watching the dessert baking shows on tv and I’m thinking of taking her to a class for Christmas. Does anyone know of classes in the Baton Rouge area that they would recommend for a 6 year old? Also I don’t bake so we are practically on the same level of ability.

No she doesn’t. That will probably be part of her gift, maybe an early present. Have you been to any of these classes?
Thanks for the recommendation

I haven’t, a friend looked into it for their kid but didn’t pull the trigger because too much other stuff going on
An Easy Bake Oven would be a great start, they also have something called baby cakes (I think) which makes mini cupcakes

I've been seeing a lot of buzz about on line cooking classes during the COVID period. You might be able to purchase several baking lessons/classes/tutorials and do the class as a family.
I think Masterclass is one such way to purchase these classes. I'm sure there are a lot more offerings out there.

Thanks, I never even thought of that. I think I’m going to do an in person class first so I can make an event out of it with her, but after that I’ll see if we can continue cooking with online classes.
