Its hard to explain to the general public how hard it is to get some of the stuff we get and the quantity. It gets frustrating when we get shite on for things we try to do

Eh. He said several times that they were waiting because they are waiting on some "rare" stuff to bundle with it. Now, your interpretation of rare is up to you, but he made it clear he was waiting on something to make it special.

The people on this board hardly fall into the category of "general public". Plenty of people on here understand the logistics of what you do, maybe not in depth like you, but we have an idea. We are also knowledgeable about highly advertised nation wide beer releases. Withholding your stock wasn't a great idea considering Founders themselves hyped 3/30 as the official release day of the product. I understand you were trying to do something nice, but it would have helped you greatly if you would have explained that early on rather than get super defensive about it.

Wait what? Most places don't tell the general public what they're doing when it comes to "rare" beers. Think about times you've gone to a bar for a special release. Most times, it isn't posted online. You find out if you're "in the know".

Look, I totally understand not wanting it to be a raffle or special event. I think waiting to sell the KBS until the 2014 is in and then just surprising folks when they come to ask for a 4 pack would be AWESOME.

But a business saying that they are waiting on rare beers and not telling you which rare beers they are is not out of the ordinary at all.

Fair enough. I see both sides. And I definitely think CJ came in here and did more damage (CJ, man.. bad timing after the Sammich incident last week). I just don't think they were trying to be dicks and hoard beer from customers. I think the plan just ended up not going how they hoped and was misinterpreted.

Corporate advertised their CBS release, but Chimes hasn't advertised any special release they've done. I don't know if Bulldog has--can't remember. I think Bulldog stays quiet because they rely heavily on regulars.
