Are these legit? I'm guessing fake, because type of steel is not mentioned. Anybody know anything about these?

If you enter the promo code 79OFF, you get these $1295 knives for $272.

knife makers LOOOOOOVE to brag about their steel and the types they use (VG-10, blue #1, white #2, etc.)

vague "high quality steel" = not high quality steel

My thoughts, too. For a three knife set, it's what I would use, so I thought I'd see if anyone has tried them.

Great reviews could be fake, too.

Not legit. Found a knife review site online where they discussed this brand. One of the reviewers is in Japan and went to the company's alleged manufacturing address and it was an empty warehouse. There was a bunch of other info about the bad quality of the steel and other stuff. I don't have the link any more but found it on Google by just typing in the company name and "reviews".

I just found that, as well. There are a lot of positive reviews on Amazon, so I thought I would check to see if anybody actually had an issue with them.

I think I'll pass. They may actually be worth the $272, but certainly don't appear to be a great deal.
