Just ran across a website that I promised to post about a while ago.

The product that was being asked about was crab soup base. It will come up on a search for Cooks Delight" crab soup base" sold in a 1 lb jar. The whole jar is advertised as making 5 gallons per jar.

I have a soup recipe that calls for crab base and have never been able to find any

No I have not but reading the ingredients list makes me confident it is a solid product to buy for me to use.

I'll have to give this a try. So far, Custom Culinary's bases have been the best I've tried and it hasn't even been close. It's still not as good as a homemade stock though.
