I saw the Unwich option, but wanted the full sandwich experience! Forgot what I ordered though, but I liked it and would dine there again.

JJ's is the worst sandwich in the history of civilization. It's not comparable to Subway. Subway is much better. That doesn't tell you anything about Subway. It only tells you how bad Jimmy John's is. Why anyone who has functioning taste buds chooses to eat here is beyond me. If I want fast and not absolutely dog pooh digusting, I go to a gas station convenience store and buy one of those pre-made mushy sandwiches, which are terrible, but not nearly as bad as Jimmy John's.
If a person tells you that he or she freely eats at Jimmy John's, mark it down in your mind never again to trust another word about food from that person.
Bread is far superior to subway. In fact, I think it's easily the best bread I've ever had in a chain sandwich place by a long shot - always fresh, always perfectly textured, with the right amount of crustiness on the outside and soft freshness on the inside.
Meats are far superior to Subway (texture, taste, quality), and actually sliced in house.
Service is far superior to Subway.
Finally, they actually do a proper Italian Hero style sandwich, which is the only thing I go there for and really the only thing I've had. As long as they keep doing that, I'll keep going there.
Are they reinventing the wheel or breaking any sort of culinary ground? Of course not. I certainly like it for what it is, though.
ETA, shite, I guess that means I'm off your "list".

Damn, did Jimmy john bully you as a child or something? No way this place is that bad.

Big fan of JJ's here. There aren't any sub places I really dislike and these are really the only sources for "healthy" fast food by comparison. Subway is good for the value.
Potbelly's is probably my favorite due to their awesome hot peppers, and they're also very reasonably priced.

I eat Chicken Sandwiches when I go to Quiznos (Mesquite Chicken) and Subway (chicken/Bacon/Ranch).
I have never been and will never go to a Jimmy Johns because of the fact that they dont offer a chicken sandwich.

The Vito is a very good sandwich.

I really like it. However, my wife once ordered and brought me whatever the bigger version of that is (the Italian Nightclub maybe) and they put freaking mayonnaise on it.
The Vito is legit, though. I get it with the hot peppers and I'm happy.

Some of the best BBQ chips I've ever gotten from a sandwich place. I'll often get the Italian night club w two bags of chips. One to put on my sandwich and one to consume with the sandwich. Jalapeño and salt and vinegar are decent too.. But BBQ is where it is at.

It seems like JJ's are only near college campuses. I really wish we had in the Biloxi area. The closest one we have here is in Mobile near the South Alabama campus. I think their sandwiches are pretty good. Being raised on Publix Subs, I cannot eat Subway unless forced to do so. Their bread is so puny that I have to put everything on my footlong just to get full. I love me some JJ and even Lenny's or Jersey Mike's is pretty good.

Thanks for all the feedback, next time I`am in Metairie,I will give them a try. From what I have read, the goal of this place is to get you in and out really quick. I guess that is why so many people are working in JJ`s.
